    Welcome to Holgates, refurbished in 2024 and beautifully presented, ensuring the perfect holiday in the Somerset countryside, just a mile from the Devon border. Set on one level, enter via the conservatory into the large and well-equipped kitchen/dining room, with all the mod-cons. The dining area has wonderful views across the garden and fields beyond. In the living room is plenty of seating, an electric fire for cosy evenings and French doors opening onto the garden, private hot tub and views of the rolling hills. The inner hallway has a games table, table football, air hockey and pool, which leads to the two bedrooms, one of which has a hairdryer, and main bathroom.
    The enclosed garden has a terrace with table and chairs and parasol, as well as a coal BBQ. The expansive lawn calls out for family fun, and you will find a selection of garden games in the conservatory. The four-seater hot tub offers the perfect spot for relaxing.
    Situated on the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within easy reach of the Quantock Hills, Exmoor, Taunton and Honiton. For family entertainment, head to the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, The West Somerset Steam Railway for a trip back in time, or for the younger ones, visit Crealy Adventure Park near Exeter, plus many other local attractions all listed in the guest information folder.
    The Blackdown Hills themselves offer some superb country walking, wildlife, flying for the adventurous at Dunkeswell Airdrome or simply enjoy the local village pubs. Within a 40-minute drive, visit the Jurassic Coast and the seaside town of Lyme Regis, and slightly further afield Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Weston Super Mare, or even Bath with its many restaurants, shops and museums. South Coast Devon beaches are just 18 miles away and the Somerset northern beach 26 miles.
    By arrangement with the owner and at cost, stables and fields can be used for your horse, with hacking and bridlepaths close by.
