    These holiday cottages were constructed in 2021 and have everything you could need for a restful stay. Fallow Cottage (UK33488) and Roe Cottage (UK33490) both have two bedrooms and a family bathroom. Muntjac Cottage (UK33489) is a one bedroomed cottage perfect for a couple’s getaway. Fallow cottage and roe cottage have a wood burner, and all have their own private courtyard garden with garden furniture for you to relax in after a day of adventure.
    Set in the heart of Hadleigh just opposite one of England’s oldest Cricket pitch, the town itself offers a unique high street packed with quirky boutique shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants and is surrounded by beautiful Suffolk countryside, all just waiting to be explored. There are some great walks starting almost from the doorstep including one along the picturesque River Brett and another which takes you along the old railway line to Raydon.
    Venture just a little further and you will find a wealth of attractions nearby. Visit Lavenham, considered to be Britain’s best preserved medieval village and used in the filming of ‘Harry Potter’. This picturesque town is packed with galleries and lots of unique places to shop, eat and drink. Also seen on TV, ‘Jimmy’s Farm’ and is within easy reach, as are Flatford and Kersey Mills and Dedham Vale.
    For a change of pace, head to Ipswich Marina for a spot of lunch or visit the glorious Suffolk coastline, under an hour away. After a busy day’s sightseeing, you can return to the cottage for a great night’s sleep, perhaps to dream of adventures yet to come. Beach 23 miles. Shop 120 yards, pub and restaurant 600 yards.

    The property is situated in the Ravenswood area of Ipswich. Within a mile, there are a variety of restaurants and pubs, including Mexican, American, and a carvery. In addition, there are several supermarkets and shops nearby. Historic Ipswich has lots to offer visitors in all seasons. As one of the oldest towns in England, there’s not much it hasn’t seen from Saxons to Vikings, a mention in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, and visits from Elizabeth I and Charles Dickens. Though its heritage as an essential Wool Town is behind it, Ipswich still has a thriving community with an exciting art and theatre scene. Browse one-of-a-kind shops and eat in independently owned and run cafés, shops and pubs. There has been a regular market since 1200, with vendors setting out their wares next to the Corn Exchange and Town Hall on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
    Popular activities include wandering around Ipswich waterfront and marina, stopping at a bar to drink in the view and people-watch. The Ipswich Transport Museum, Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm, and Jimmy’s Farm are favourites with children. Christchurch Mansion is a lovely place to while away a few hours, while Christchurch Park and Chantry Park are perfect for picnics. Felixstowe Beach is 10 miles and Aldeburgh is 23 miles from Dunwich House, and there are a wealth of footpaths nearby in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. From Shotley Marina, which is just 4 miles away, you can jump on the foot ferry to either Harwich or Felixstowe, this is run between April to October, weather permitting. Whilst at Shotley Marina you can pop into the Ganges Museum which is dedicated to the 160,000 boys who passed through the gates and climbed the mast, as featured on Blue Peter when John Noakes attempted the climb. There are many artefacts to be seen.
    Whilst in the area pay a visit to Ewarton Church and Hall, where legend has it Anne Boleyn’s heart is buried. Ipswich, the county town of Suffolk, is only 6 miles away. Here you will find lots of shops, theatres, museums, the beautiful Christchurch Park, mansion and lake. A visit to see Hilly Ridge Alpacas is a delight, and the famous Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park is nearby.
    In less than an hour you can be at the beautiful Suffolk Coast. Aldeburgh has an array of independent shops and is close to Thorpeness, which was built as a holiday resort by J. M. Barrie, the author of ’Peter Pan’, and where you can hire rowing boats, kayaks, dinghies, punts and sailing boats on the 40-acre mere.
    The popular Pleasurewood Hills family theme park is worth a day out and is only 1½ hours’ drive away. All in all, The Little Barn and the surrounding area offers something for everyone, and if you have a special occasion the owners are more than happy to arrange champagne, wine or flowers.
