Close to the Snowdonia National Park and a 20-minute drive to Snowdon itself, these three spacious, attractive and comfortable barn conversions boast stunning views over beautiful countryside. The holiday cottages (refs. OZ3, OZ4 and OZ5) are located just yards away from the Wales Coast Path, which leads to a lovely pebble backed sandy beach whilst affording wonderful bird watching opportunities on the way. Foryd Bay, where the properties are located, is a designated RSPB Lapwing reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales has also become the UK’s newest UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021. Within easy driving distance there are a myriad exciting activities including mountain biking, surfing, sailing, excellent walking, riding and golf. The properties are also conveniently located for Zip World.
Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle, and a fine selection of shops, restaurants and pubs is just 4 miles away, and is also the start of the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of Snowdonia. Tai Coch Chatham is a perfect location for relaxing winter escapes and summer beach holidays. Shop and restaurant 2½ miles, pub serving food 1 mile (seasonal).

The barn is situated in the grounds of a small farm, and is an ideal holiday base close to the mountains of Snowdonia. Tan Rallt Barn has plenty of space for eight people and can accommodate climbing and walking groups coming into the Snowdonia National Park. It’s a great location for outdoor enthusiasts being close to the Ogwen Valley and Zip World - the longest zipwire in the northern hemisphere, and just a short drive from Llanberis and Snowdon, with its famous mountain railway. You’ll find Penrhyn Castle (NT) just down the road, whilst Caernarfon, with its impressive castle, the Isle of Anglesey with 125 miles of coastline, Capel Curig and Betws-y-Coed are all close by. The GreenWood Forest Park at Y Felinheli, Yr Hwylfan (The Fun Centre) at Caernarfon and Electric Mountain at Llanberis are all well worth a visit. Shop 0.5 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles. Criccieth is home to a 13th-century castle, along with a fine selection of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. An array of outdoor activities and family attractions are available in the nearby Snowdonia National Park, and the rolling countryside of the Lleyn Peninsula. Just 4 miles away is the harbour town of Porthmadog, the departure point for wonderful steam train journeys on the famous Ffestiniog railway. Ty Ni is a large modern property with open airy rooms and a sophisticated style. There’s four bedrooms, three of which have en-suites, and a separate family bathroom. The living and dining area have been furnished to ensure your comfort, the ideal social space for everyone to relax in. There’s a large kitchen with double oven, you’ll certainly be fully equipped for cooking up a feast. Through the kitchen there is a utility room, a much needed space for cleaning up after a muddy walk or a day spent down the beach.
Talking of beaches, pack your bucket and spade! There’s miles of idyllic coastline to explore, with picture perfect beaches and dunes you’ll be spoilt for choice. Just down the road you’ll find Harlech home to the imposing UNESCO world heritage site Harlech Castle. Bustling Barmouth is also only a short distance, take a walk along the promenade and indulge in some fish and chips. An iconic feature of the town is Barmouth Bridge, over 150-year-old railway viaduct across the Mawddach Estuary. It is half a mile in length with a wooden promenade suitable for pedestrians or cyclists which now forms part of the Wales Coast Path and the Lon Las Cymru Cycle Network. Nantcol waterfalls are just 5 miles away and offer a great day out, a perfect place for a family picnic whilst playing in the stream. You’ll be greeted by a spacious four bedroom house that has been fully refurbished to an excellent standard. Tregarth is a traditional Welsh village, originating from the slate mining industry of times gone by, now a friendly village with a traditional welcoming pub. You’ll be positioned perfectly to explore the captivating island of Anglesey which is only a short drive, along with the Snowdonia National Park, which has many walking routes up Mount Snowdon. Only 3 miles away is the action packed Zipworld Penrhyn Quarry with a plethora of activities, along with cafés serving quality food. Also nearby is Penrhyn Castle, a National Trust castle, well worth a visit for all ages. And further down the coast is Conwy, a historic harbour town with UNESCO status castle, town walls and many historic buildings to visit. Beach 9 miles.

You are also within easy reach of Porthmadog home to the Welsh Highland Railway, and Italianate village of Portmeirion, fashionable Abersoch is also nearby. Criccieth and Harlech, a short drive away where you’ll find the historic castles of the area. This area has miles of unspoilt coastal paths to explore, look out for the grey seal colonies that are established around the coastline, alongside a wealth of sea birds.
