On a covered veranda in the garden you will find the blissful hot tub, which offers the perfect place to relax at the end of the day, with views of the pleasant enclosed garden. Both bedrooms offer the flexibility of zip and link twin beds which can be made into super kingsize beds (on request). The owners have thoughtfully provided complimentary toiletries should you forget your own!
Bring your bucket and spade as the glorious sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn is just a mile down the road and offers superb views over to the Rhinog Mountains. For the more adventurous, Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog are a thrill seekers delight, whilst the famous Ffestiniog Railway and mighty Harlech Castle are also well worth a visit. From Barmouth, why not hire a bike and cycle across Barmouth Bridge and along the Mawddach Trail to Penmaenpool and Dolgellau? Beach 1 mile. Shops 300 yards, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

Located in the coastal village of Fairbourne, this holiday property has a large lawned garden with great views of the mountains, yet is only a couple of minutes walk from the lovely, quiet, two-mile long sandy beach, over stones. Many of the area’s beaches are dog friendly and Fairlawns can accommodate up to 2 dogs. The property makes a great base for exploring the area. Take a trip on the little Fairbourne Railway out to the headland and cross the Mawddach Estuary by ferry, and visit Barmouth where you can try crabbing in the harbour, or stroll across the famous Barmouth Bridge. Imagine yourself climbing Cader Idris, exploring the ruins of Castell-y-Bere, or riding behind a steam engine on the friendly Talyllyn Railway and hopping off the train to explore the waterfalls at Dolgoch or Nant Gwernol. Visit the pretty market town of Dolgellau, go walking or mountain biking at Coed-Y-Brenin Forest Park, then relax in the garden with a glass of wine, watching the sun set.

An immaculately presented lodge, new from September 2021, nestled in a backdrop of mature woodland trees. Once inside there is a spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area all stylishly furnished with your comfort in mind. There’s a twin bedroom and separate family bathroom with modern shower. The kingsize bedroom has an en-suite shower room along with a dressing area. Outside is perfect for some wildlife spotting with spacious decking and a woodland view. A fantastic spot for some bird watching, the bird table on the decking can be seen from the lounge patio doors, with bird food provided you are sure to see an array of local birds visiting. On site there is a popular restaurant set in a wonderful Victorian Manor House, Aberdunant Hall Hotel 4 star is walking distance from the lodge, be sure to book to avoid disappointment! In addition, there are lovely dog walks available as soon as your step outside of the lodge.
For amenities you’ll find the village Tremadog, just over 2 miles distance, here there’s a convenience store and a couple of traditional Welsh Pubs to visit, and a fish and chip shop. Situated in the Snowdonia National Park, and just outside Porthmadog a busy harbour town, home to the famous Welsh Highland Railway. You’re ideally placed for enjoying the delights of the area. Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, is a magnet for climbers and walkers. The area has an excellent range of outdoor pursuits, historic castles and family attractions. The picturesque Italian village of Portmeirion, is well worth a visit, as is the glorious sandy beach at Black Rock Sands, great for all ages, you can drive your car onto the vast expanse of sands. The picturesque village of Beddgelert is less than 10 minutes’ drive a must visit, with some truly special scenery and walks to enjoy for all abilities, be sure to read up on the legend of Gelert before your visit. Bounce Below underground trampolining and the Antur Stiniog bike trails which is located Blaenau Ffestiniog. Adventure Zip World is only 12 miles away and has a wide array of activities. Or enjoy adventure park snowdonia which is 29 miles from The Hollies Lodge and boasts something for everyone including surfing and climbing walls Beach 4¼ miles. Apartment 1 is a ground floor apartment located right in the heart of Aberdovey, opposite the Yacht Club and the beach, and close to local amenities. There isn’t a better location to be for those looking for a seaside escape. Set within the southern reaches of the Snowdonia National Park, excellent for those walkers visiting the area. Aberdovey is a thriving seaside fishing village with brightly painted houses which seem to cling to the shoreline and has a history dating back hundreds of years. It offers miles of beautiful golden sandy beaches with a fantastic selection of water based activities including sailing, fishing and windsurfing. Golfers are also well catered for with an 18-hole championship golf course located at the western end of the village, which welcomes visiting players. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the wonderful opportunities for walking and bird watching in the surrounding area. A myriad of visitor attractions are within easy reach including the Vale of Rheidol Railway, Talyllyn Railway, the Corris Craft Centre and King Arthur’s Labyrinth. Beach 100 yards. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen with everything you’ll need for your break. The bedroom has been finished off with quality bedding and a plush mattress to ensure a restful night’s sleep. Outside there’s a lovely, enclosed, private seating area; a fantastic spot to sit and relax in after your day’s adventures, with a gentle stream running through to really add to this relaxing spot. All amenities are close by, with a pub and shop in nearby Bontnewydd. Only a short 5-mile drive takes you down to the beautiful beach at Dinas Dinlle, which is well worth a visit, with wonderful views across the bay to Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula. The area is a designated Site of Special Scientific interest due to a number of rare birds that live in the area; a must for any bird watchers. For the more adventurous, you’re only a short drive from many walking routes that will take you up Mount Snowdon, for the less adventurous there’s always the easier route up by train on the famous railway in Llanberis. And no visit to this area would be complete without taking in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Caernarfon Castle. You’re also only a short drive to Zip World, the longest zip wire in the world! What a magnificent area this really is!

You are also within easy reach of Porthmadog home to the Welsh Highland Railway, and Italianate village of Portmeirion, fashionable Abersoch is also nearby. Criccieth and Harlech, a short drive away where you’ll find the historic castles of the area. This area has miles of unspoilt coastal paths to explore, look out for the grey seal colonies that are established around the coastline, alongside a wealth of sea birds. No matter your interests from golfing, fishing and adventure sports to nature and history, the diverse Llyn Peninsula has everything to offer.
