There is a useful, spacious hallway for storage that leads to a utility area and cloakroom. With ample private parking and a fully enclosed garden, this is an idyllic spot to admire the breathtaking views that surround Hetton Byre.
The friendly small town of Belford is less than 5 miles away, where there are local facilities available including a Co-op. The pretty village of Chatton is only 4 miles away, with a pub and village shop. A short drive east brings you to Bamburgh, dominated by its majestic castle with spectacular views from the coastline across to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Heading west brings you to Wooler, which sits at the foot of the Cheviot Hills and is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists. Heading 20 miles south is the market town of Alnwick, with its own castle and Alnwick Gardens, which are a popular visitor attraction. Hetton Byre is a quintessential, romantic rural retreat, yet lies in the heart of England’s borderland, often referred to as ‘the secret kingdom’. Beach 9 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Lovingly furnished, The Byre is set over three levels. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with a kingsize bed and en-suite bathroom. A further double bedroom and a twin room are located downstairs as well as a family bathroom, well-equipped kitchen/dining room and spacious living area. To the back of the property is an enclosed garden with decking that houses a fantastic hot tub, the ideal place to sit back, relax and enjoy your holiday! The Byre is close to Chatton Trout Fishery, a well-stocked 14-acre lake trout fishery which provides an excellent day out for any keen participants!

Chatton is a picturesque village that has a shop and a pub which serves food. Slightly further afield is the friendly small town of Wooler (known locally as Glendale; the inspiration for ‘Postman Pat’s, Greendale’) only 5 miles inland. This is a popular destination for those who enjoy cycling, golf, horse riding and walking with the challenging St Cuthbert’s Way close by.

Bamburgh is renowned for its majestic fortress and beautiful expanse of golden, sandy beach and is only 11 miles east. The elegant Georgian town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which straddles the salmon rich River Tweed, and the cobbled, market town of Alnwick, protected by its dramatic castle, both offer a wide array of amenities around half an hour’s drive away. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction to see the Grand Cascade Waterfall and dine in the restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe! Cherry Tree Cottage is a stunning traditional stone-built cottage nestled in the heart of the pretty village of Chatton.
The village has a pub which serves excellent food and beverages all year round, and a very convenient village store selling all essentials. Both the pub and shop are less than 200 yards from Cherry Tree Cottage. The lounge is stylish and comfortable with a cosy wood burning stove that really sets the scene on them more chilly evenings, the lounge is the perfect spot for relaxing after a day walking cycling, or horse riding in the Cheviot Hills. The kitchen/diner is the social hub of the cottage, a real generous space with exposed stone walls and sky lights making this room light, bright, and airy.
