The wonderful RHS gardens at Rosemoor and the Dartington Crystal Factory are worth a visit and both these attractions are based at Great Torrington.     Two miles away is the stunning Hunmanby Gap, a popular beach with locals, which offers a friendly café during the summer months. The delightful seaside town of Filey is a little further up the coast and has a variety of quaint tea rooms, restaurants and independent shops. Enjoy a stroll along the promenade with its brightly painted beach huts, ornamental gardens and cafés, or wander down to the coble landing, with its fishing boats and seafood stalls. The Sycamores offers easy access to the Cleveland Way, which is a 109 mile footpath across the moors and along the coast of the North York Moors, with many interesting sites and historical buildings to enjoy on the way. A visit to this area would not be complete without a walk to the nearby Flamborough headlands or an afternoon at the Bempton RSPB Reserve.
