    Located in the centre of the village of Lelant, which is bound by the Hayle Estuary to the east and the sweep of St Ives Bay to the north, Morvoren Cottage is the perfect holiday retreat for a family or a group of friends to relax, unwind and enjoy quality time together. The open plan living area on the ground floor is comfortably furnished and the kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy a self-catering holiday. The cosy living area has a wood burner which is perfect for a warm welcome and cosy nights in. Head upstairs to the two beautifully appointed bedrooms, one of which has a super kingsize bed, the other has a kingsize zip and link bed, which can be twin beds on request. The shower room is located on the ground floor, just a couple of steps up from the kitchen. Outside, guests can enjoy the enclosed lawned garden at the back of the property, where there is also a lovely decking area where guests can relax and enjoy refreshments in the sun. There is plenty of on road parking, and you are welcome to bring two pets. The garden is fully enclosed for dogs and there is an outdoor hose for washing them down after a walk.

    The local pub is just a short walk up the road and there are various other restaurants close by. The beautiful sandy beach at Porthkidney is just a 20-minute walk away and is also dog friendly. You can hop on the scenic coastal railway service from Lelant in to the picturesque town and harbour of St Ives, with its waterfront restaurants and wealth of art galleries including the Tate Modern and Barbra Hepworth Museum. Explore the winding streets with some amazing individual shops, or take a walk on the coastal path then relax on one of the gorgeous sandy beaches and enjoy beautiful views of St Ives and Carbis Bay. The historic town of Marazion is nearby, and magical St Michael’s Mount perched on its rocky outcrop can be reached on foot by causeway at low tide, or by small boat at high tide. The area boasts some of the best beaches in Cornwall including nearby Carbis Bay and Porthminster.

    Walkers will love the coastal path and bridleways, and cyclists can enjoy miles of bike trails. Birdwatchers from around the UK visit this stunning area as there are so many places to explore, including the wide estuary at Hayle with its own bird and wildlife marshes. Spend a day at the subtropical gardens including Trebah, Glendurgan Garden and Trelissick Garden, or for the golfing enthusiasts, there are various courses nearby such as West Cornwall Golf Club and the Lelant, Hayle and Cape Cornwall golf courses. With great road links you can make the most of exploring this diverse corner of Cornwall, from West Cornwall to St Michaels Mount, Penzance, Mousehole, Newlyn, Lands End and Sennen. The rugged north coastline, famous for its surfing beaches, stretches from St Ives up to Godrevy Lighthouse and beyond. Winter guests love the rugged, quiet beaches and it is a great coastline for storm watchers too.

    Bee Cottage is in a small village Reawla in Hayle offering comfortable accommodation in a traditional stone cottage, with an inviting open plan living area downstairs. The property is set away from the road making it quiet and a great place to chill, the garden is private for children and dogs to run around. The cottage has also benefitted from a recent refurbishment providing a comfortable retreat after a long day exploring beautiful Cornwall. The owners have provided hanging space in an outside building for wetsuits etc, and there is plenty of room outside for bikes, paddle boards and surfboards.

    After a busy day, out relax in the garden with a drink. There is so much to do here, you are very close to Gwithian beach, ideal for families as there are always rock pools for little ones to play in. The beach is flat but tidal, at high tide part of the beach will be cut off. There is a walk from the car park. The beach is lifeguarded during the summer season. The café opposite is always welcome after the trek back to the car!

    Carbis Bay, Porthminster and Porthmeor beach are approximately 3 miles away, both flat and sandy, great for families. Gwithian and Godrey beaches are popular with surfers, also great for children as there are plenty of rock pools to explore. St Ives just over three miles away, is a great day out with cobbled streets leading to the harbour; there are so many places to eat and drink here offering choice for everyone. Small independent shops are great if you are looking for a gift or just something different. Hayle has a beautiful estuary and Copperhouse Creek, ideal for birdwatching and walking with plenty of places to eat, it is unusual as it is just one street.

    Whilst you are here you must eat a pasty either at Philp’s - sit and eat in the car watching the harbour or Foundry Shop and sit on a bench at Mill Pool. For a change of scenery visit Birds of Paradise in Hayle, a fun day for everyone with an indoor play area for little ones - great of the weather is not great. It has a small railway, a petting area, a wide selection of birds and animals and during peak season has flying displays. If you want to enjoy the scenery, head for Lelant Saltings Station described as the most scenic railway in Britain.

    Not forgetting our four-legged friends, there are dog friendly beaches in Hayle, Cornwall · Mexico Towans, Rinsey Cove, Godrevy, Hayle, Mounts Bay, Prussia Cove, Carbis Bay. You will find that there is so much to see and do you will be booking another visit!

If you don’t want to eat out, you will find everything you need in the well-equipped kitchen or eat alfresco overlooking the beautiful countryside or enjoy a cosy dinner admiring the view in the warm.

    Angarrack is a small village nestled in a valley and is home to the imposing Angarrack Viaduct where the local train line crosses the Angarrack river. There are beautiful places to walk and explore in the area by taking the coast path and walking along to Godrey Lighthouse. Wander through the village along the river, or drive to Carn Brea and find the ruins of the old tin mines. Just over 2 miles away is Hayle, a town built on an estuary, with a variety of shops. The local beach Gwithian is 3 miles of golden sand surrounded by sand dunes, for your four-legged friends and Riviere Towans is dog friendly year-round.

    If you want to go further afield, a trip to Marazion is essential, as at low tide you can walk across to St Michaels Mount from Marazion beach; it is advisable to book tickets if you wish to go into the gardens or castle. The beach has a seasonal dog ban during the summer months when dogs are allowed after 6pm and before 10am at this time of the year. Just a little further on is the most westerly town of Penzance, where you can wander winding streets, find subtropical gardens, and sit on the promenade admiring the view.

    Truro is the capital of Cornwall and is 30 minutes’ drive and is a wonderful day out. The cobbled streets are full of small shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, and the cuisine available will cater for everybody’s requirements. Find small shops offering local produce, sample the local gins or wander around the large market. The beautiful Truro Cathedral dominates the city and is a favourite for visitors. After a busy day exploring, come back and relax and enjoy the solitude recharge for the next day’s adventures. The property has easy access so is suitable for guests with restricted mobility.

Famous for the imposing Angarrack Viaduct which still carries trains along the Cornish mainline railway, views of which can be seen from the property. The property sleeps four in two bedrooms and the large bathroom has a spa bath as well as a shower cubicle. After a long day’s walk you can choose a long soak or a refreshing shower. Downstairs is a well-equipped kitchen leading to the open plan living/dining room with a separate area for reading or doing puzzles. Doors open out to the large, enclosed garden where the owner has planted vegetable and salad beds for guests to pick and eat during their stay. The dining area is under a large canopy allowing the area to be used all year round, great for al fresco dining and watching the incredible night skies.
    There are lots of walks in the area ideal for wearing out your four-legged friends. Choose from a stroll around the village to one of the many coastal paths, or take them to one of the many gardens in the area. Although most of the beaches have dog bans, some restrictions refer to between 10am- 6pm. Trevaunance Cove in St Agnes and Riviere Towans in Hayle are dog friendly all year round. As you would expect from Cornwall there are spectacular beaches abound. Hayle Beach is the nearest just over 3 miles away. Carbis Bay is just over 4 miles and St Ives just over 5 miles.
    Paradise Park is a fun day out for all ages and is only ¼ mile away. It is a wildlife sanctuary, home to over 1000 birds and animals. The Jungle Barn is an indoor play area ideal for the children. If you want a full day out, head towards Penzance and stop at the ancient market town of Marazion. Stroll along the beach towards Penzance, enjoy a day on Marazion beach, take the children to the large play park and stroll around the village. When the tide is out you can walk across the causeway to St Michaels Mount, visit the gardens and have a tour of the castle. From Marazion you can head to Penzance, Newlyn and finally Mousehole. Walk along the promenade in Penzance, watch the fishermen unload their catch at Newlyn harbour, finally stop for a bite to eat in the small fishing village of Mousehole. When you get home you can pop to the pub next door for last orders!
