Welcome to the wonderful Haven Cottage, a holiday home that lives up to its name! Set just a mile from Berrow Beach and Burnham-on-Sea Seafront, an easy 20-minute walk away, Haven Cottage has everything you will need for your next family stay. On the ground floor, you have a warm and comfortable living room with Smart TV and wood burner, ideal for relaxing by on cooler evenings and enjoying a family movie. The large kitchen/sitting room is well-equipped with everything you will need during your stay to cook the simplest breakfast to a family dinner! Off the kitchen is the dining room with French doors that lead out towards the garden. On the ground floor you will find the family bathroom, with wonderful roll-top slipper bath and heated towel rail.

One of Haven Cottages unique features is the dual staircases, on the left side of the house (between the living room and kitchen) the staircase leads up to a double and a twin bedroom as well as a shower room. From the dining room the staircase will take you up to 2 further bedrooms (one double and one with twin beds) and another shower room! This fantastic feature makes this cottage perfect for 2 families or a large family who appreciates space. Outside, there is a small garden area, the perfect spot to enjoy at any time of day, from your morning cuppa to an evening BBQ it’s a great place to relax. Just a 20-minute walk or 3-minute drive will take you to the beaches of Berrow and Burnham-on-Sea, with Burnham having plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and amusements on offer for you. The Golf Club is just a 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive away for those keen to get on the green while on holiday. Jump in the car and explore the nearby town of Weston Super Mare with its fantastic Pier, Donkey rides and many shops and restaurants. If a day in the city takes your fancy, there is a train from Weston that will take you in to Bath or Bristol for a day of exploring. The ancient medieval town of Glastonbury is just over 30-minute drive away, explore the quirky high street and head up the Tor for amazing views!

We happily welcome two small (or one big), well-behaved dogs to join you on your countryside adventure. Although we kindly ask that your furry friend remains on a lead in the garden, they can freely explore the 5-acres of private woodlands and paddocks which is fully enclosed to roam freely.

For a change of scenery, head to the enchanting Chew Valley Lakes, a tranquil haven for nature lovers. Test your skills and push your limits with a range of thrilling activities such as rock climbing, archery, and off-road biking. Within an hour’s drive, you can reach Bristol and Bath. Explore Glastonbury’s Abbey and Tor, Wells’ cathedral and Bishop’s palace, or Cheddar’s famous caves and gorge. All within 30 minutes and promising delightful adventures. Located in south Somerset, midway between Taunton and Ilminster, this spacious wing of the owners charming 250 year old farmhouse, offers ideal holiday accommodation. With many beautiful country walks in the area, this period property is ideal for walkers and with a livery yard next door, horse stabling is available (by arrangement). Visit Taunton, the county town of Somerset, historical houses and gardens including Montacute House, Forde Abbey, Hestercombe Gardens and Barrington Court, or take a trip to Minehead on the nostalgic West Somerset Steam Railway. Exmoor National Park and the Quantock Hills are well worth a visit, as well as a trip to the south to explore the Jurassic Coast between Seaton and Bridport, taking in Lyme Regis. Inland, there is Clarkes Village for some retail therapy, Glastonbury Tor, Somerset Levels, Cheddar Gorge and the spa city of Bath. After spending the day exploring many attractions, return to this delightful property and snuggle up in front of the woodburner, set in a lovely inglenook with bread oven. Beach 20 miles. Old Orchard Barn - The Annexe is a beautiful converted property in the heart of Buckland St Mary, a gorgeous Somerset village, yet within easy access to the A303. Inside it has been lovingly converted as a relaxing holiday retreat for two to feature a cosy living area with electric wood burner and Smart TV, although with the large windows gazing out over the rolling fields you may never need to switch it on! The living room is open plan with the kitchen although this is up a step, giving it a slightly separate feel. The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, and there is a wonderful dining area making the most of the views. Into the bedroom you have an oak kingsize bed with bamboo mattress, Egyptian cotton bedding and an oak dressing table, as well as a hanging area for your clothes, off the bedroom there is a fabulously colourful en-suite with shower cubicle. Outside there is a private garden area with seating and views, perfect for a glass of wine as the sun goes down, there is also a private outdoor swimming pool available from 10am until 4pm (May-Sep only) and shared use of the tennis court - bring your own tennis rackets and tennis shoes (white soles only).
The property is located within the Blackdown Hills - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the Somerset, Devon and Dorset border. There are some beautiful walks in the area, and a Covid-19 secure country public house less than ½ mile away, as well as an Italian restaurant ½ mile in the other direction.
It is set between the market town of Chard, with its shops and museums, and the larger county town of Taunton with its bustling shopping centre, restaurants, bars and entertainment facilities. There are many tourist attractions to visit, from woodland walks to National Trust estates such as Barrington Court and Montacute House. The Quantocks and Exmoor National Park are within easy driving, and for a trip back in time, travel from Taunton along the West Somerset Steam Railway to Minehead.
Further afield you have the Jurassic Coast beaches of Lyme Regis and West Bay, as well as some of Somerset’s great places to visit. Guests can drive to Glastonbury Tor for an exhilarating walk to the top with some magnificent views of Somerset, perhaps calling in at The Clarkes Factory Village and Wells Cathedral and Palace, or head into the other direction into Devon and visit the city of Exeter and have lunch on the quays! On the ground floor you will find a fabulous living room with a wood burner and a large electric reclining corner sofa, the perfect spot to relax in after a busy day. Head through to the spacious kitchen/dining area that comes packed full of everything you need during your stay. The dining table is ideal for large family meals and can turn into table tennis for some entertainment on those rainy days or fun evenings. You will also find a double bedroom on the ground floor.
Upstairs, on the first floor, you have two family bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds, the second bedroom with a double and a single bed. There are many walks to be enjoyed directly from Withies or why not head over to Langport, park up the car and walk the Parret Trail along the River Parret to enjoy the local shops and restaurants? For a taste of ancient history, head to Glastonbury with its medieval tor and eclectic mixture of shops. For the bargain hunters Clarks Village in Street, with its designer outlet, is a must do! Welcome to Firtree Farm Lodges, a delightful collection of two magnificent lodges set in an enviable location that enjoy stunning views for a truly wonderful holiday experience. Although the word lodge conjures images of a small hideaway, don’t be fooled, these lodges have been bespoke designed to create a large and welcoming living space.

Grab a designer bargain at Clarks Village retail outlet in Street or head to Glastonbury and explore the medieval town and climb the tor for those amazing views of Somerset. For the foodies, head to The Newt, just under a 10-minute drive; this increasingly popular venue is well known for its garden and for its food, lively atmosphere and even the odd celebrity or two can be spotted passing through. You will also find plenty of National Trust properties nearby such as Lytes Cary Manor and Montacute House, both within a 20-minute drive.

The village is ideally situated for those wanting to visit Haynes Motor Museum, The Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton, Glastonbury and its Tor, the wildlife park at Cricket St Thomas, Montacute House and Stonehenge along with other attractions. Yeovil is the nearest town with a good number of supermarkets along with independent shops, a cinema and theatre. Bath, Exeter and Bristol are a short drive away as is the interesting town of Sherborne with its independent shops, a castle and an abbey.
Queen Camel itself has a good number of walks close by and is about an hour’s drive from the wonderful Jurassic Coast and the holiday town of Weymouth. Bath and West Showground are around a 20-minute drive away and there are many events held there throughout the year. For those keen on horse racing Salisbury Racecourse is around 50-minutes away. Queen Camel itself has a pub which serves food, a very useful shop with post office and a therapy centre.

Stepping inside, on the ground floor you will find a cosy lounge with wood burner, perfect for chillier evenings, and comfortable seating to relax in after a day exploring the area, together with Freeview TV. The wonderfully light and modern kitchen/diner comes extremely well equipped with a second Freeview TV, plus everything you need for a wonderful home-cooked meal, with an electric oven, gas 5 burner hob, and dishwasher. There’s also a utility room with a fridge/freezer, wine cooler, and washing machine.

Heading upstairs you will find the family bathroom with a P-shape bath and shower plus a heated towel rail. The bedrooms have all been decorated in calming colours for a restful night’s sleep and have plenty of storage and hanging space. The master bedroom has a king size bed, bedroom two has a double while bedroom three has a single bed.

Outside, the south-facing garden, with two decks, is a great size and is mainly lawned, perfect for your two and four-legged family to let off some steam running around and playing games. Speaking of which, at the bottom of the garden you will find the games cabin with table tennis and a decked area with a table, chairs, a corner sofa, for relaxing, firepit and barbecue for your alvfresco dining! Head into the cosy games cabin when the sun goes down.

A fantastic holiday home located just a short walk from Minehead’s town centre and beautiful seafront, with sandy beach and harbour, surrounded by shops and an award-winning Indian restaurant, 2-minute walk. Local pubs are a 5-minute walk giving you the option to leave the car on the driveway and explore on foot. Hire bikes, paddle boards and kayaks from Channel Adventures on the seafront.

Minehead Golf Course, founded in 1882, is Somerset’s oldest and is open all year round. Minehead is also a bustling seaside resort with plenty of things to do and there are many shops, bars, and restaurants to sample as well as three supermarkets within a 5-minute walk! Take time to explore, get lost and find hidden rivers, old-fashioned tea rooms and country pubs. The village of Dunster has its beach, plus its castle and cobbled streets are a must-do while here. Dunster by candlelight in December is a magical experience! Drive along the coast and spend time in Porlock, ride the cliff railway that links Lynton and Lynmouth or wander around Watchet. Exeter is just over an hour away and Taunton is 45 minutes. You’ll be spoilt for choice with things to do while staying at The Warblers! Beach ½ mile. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.
